I finally got around to uploading my (very few) marathon pictures (part of the camera slacking thing I have going on I guess).
Want to see a picture of a really, truly, happy me? Here it is…
That was taken after the race, once I was able to proudly sport my marathon shirt and medal. This was one of the proudest moments of my life and I’m so glad we snapped a picture of it. If you’re interested, I spoke more extensively about my marathon experience here.
Another shining moment of the day was when Luke crossed the finish line at his very first race ever! He did the Kid’s Fun Run, which I missed because I was running. Luckily there were pictures and video for me to see, and I am just so proud of him. He was one of the smallest on-foot kids there (the smaller ones were in strollers) and he tried to hard to keep up with the big kids. My heart just swells watching him give it his best shot! Here is he crossing the finish line, which is the same finish line I crossed a few hours later…
He is TOTALLY going to beat that chick in the stroller.
I have a few more pictures that I purchased from the pro photo company. Dare I share them? They aren’t my most photogenic moments ever, but then again I’m running 26.2 miles so I guess I shouldn’t care.
BTW, I can’t believe I did this a couple months ago and can barely get out of bed now. Tear.
